FUNDRAISING       Top

Chatterbox is the beneficiary of a charity golf day held annually at the prestigious Buckinghamshire Golf Club. Local businessmen and businesses connected to the service and leisure industry regularly support this event and it has become a firm fixture in the diaries of all those who attend.

The day begins with breakfast, followed by a round of golf and lunch. Finally the prize giving, drawing of the raffle and an auction take place. Historically, the auction has consisted of various pieces of signed sporting memorabilia, luxury weekend accommodation, tickets and entertainment to some of the most exclusive sporting fixtures. These have included the Ryder Cup, Six Nations Rugby tickets, premiership football matches, a private pod for 25 people on the London Eye and even a trip on the Orient Express. These are but a few of the amazing prizes that have been donated and each year brings yet more fantastic surprises.

Due to the overwhelming support of everyone involved with the golf day it regularly raises over £10,000 a year. This enables Chatterbox to continue to help children with speech and communication impairments who attend departments based in mainstream educational environments.

We also receive donations from local events held within the community such as, Christmas fairs, raffles and individual donations. This money is always gratefully received and put to good use immediately within our nominated schools.

We are always looking for new ways to continue supporting "these very special children" and welcome any new ideas. Maybe we could be your company’s nominated charity for a year or your chosen charity for a one-off event. If you think you can help, please contact us, we would be happy to come along and discuss any plans you may have.

And finally, the trustees of Chatterbox are all very proud of the fact that administration costs for the charity are kept to an absolute minimum.
