Nikki has worked as a speech and language therapist for the last 18 years. She has worked in a range of settings including hospitals, special schools and mainstream schools with attached units and departments.

Nikki’s clinical specialism is developmental speech and language disorders. She is currently working as the senior specialist speech and language therapist within a mainstream infant school in Buckinghamshire, which has an inclusive department for 20 children with specific language impairment.

Nikki is also a fully qualified Dyslexia Teacher and Regional Makaton Tutor.

She has a wide knowledge of children with speech and language difficulties through her involvement as Chair of Governors at a nursery school which is recognised for its expertise in helping children with special needs.

Wendy followed a career in retailing and marketing promotions within the fashion industry and latterly worked in Local Government and investment organisations. 

She became aware of the problems affecting children with speech and communication difficulties through her son’s nursery school, where she was a Governor and Chair of the PTA.
